The federal government has announcce the suspension of the N-Power program indefinitely.

Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, made this known during an appearance on TVC's morning show on Saturday.
She stated that the government has commenced an investigation on how the funds were utilized after the program's commencement.
The Minister emphasized that some irregularities were discovered during the initial investigation, where the government decided to take the program over after its initiation.
She disclosed that the government will conduct an further investigation into the discrepancies and that they are determined to bring those responsible for the financial irregularities to justice.
Furthermore, she stated that some of those who benefited from the program in the past have now left, but they continue to receive payments.
She said, "We need to look into N-Power to understand what the problems are so that we can begin to investigate what they are doing with the funds."
"We want to know how many people are in the program now, how many are meant to be there. We have to check for that and all the people who left and the ones who are still collecting money."
"At some point, we will take over schools or offices that they are occupying. They have been involved in massive fraud. About 80 out of 100 of them are not supposed to be working. They have been collecting money illegally."
The DAILY POST newspaper reported that the previous administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has continued the N-Power program to address the issue of youth unemployment and provide assistance to the general public.
